Spanish figure skater Javier Fernandez will terminate his career after the European championships 2019, announced Spanish media outlet 20minutos.es. Minsk will be the last big showdown on the ice for him, one last tournament. Fernandez won the world championships twice, and the European championships six times.
“Figure skating has given me everything. It is my profession, it will stay that way in the future, I want to remain in this sport, but not as a figure skater,” his agency quotes Fernandez.
